Today we honor Mothers. This is a day when we look back at our moms and remember all the
work they did in raising us and caring for us. Our life is hid in Christ, so I have that life within me. I look back
at my Mom and remember all that she did for me. I miss her more then I realized I would for it has been so long. I never
thought that it would be so long, so when people tell me that their Mom, does this or that, I tell them be happy they have
a Mom. When you have a Mom, then you have a special person in your life. Moms no matter what is going on in your life, has
a special role for you in your life. She will raise you to be a young woman or man, that someone can be proud of, to make
someone happy. God put you in that family, with that Mom and Dad. You are special and have a special family. No matter what
is going on in your life, I will be happy with who I am. I am pleased with myself, for I am pleased with who God made
me to be. I am not mad at me, for God is for me. God is so happy with me and gave me a special lady, who I consider to have
value and I call that person Mom. We honor her by giving her a meal, but she should be honored with more then a meal, but
with love and understanding. Let us find many ways to honor her, not just with one meal, but honor her year long. The Bible
says she should be honored! She is worthy of honor! Do you honor Mom? The
Bible says we shuold Honor Mom and Dad! Honor them that for means give them value! They deserve it for they provide
all we need! They are our providers. We need them to help us and put us in our right place from time to time. Parents have
the job of keeping us on the straight and narrow. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not
depart from it. Honor them for the training fhey provide for us. Pastor Don Carson Word of Grace Fellowship
