WE NEED YOU!

 

 

                    I want to remind you that with all that is going on in the world the most important thing that we can do is to fellowship with God. Fellowship with God is more important then anything else we do in our lives. We must fellowship. I say we must because even Jesus needed fellowship. Jesus had to spend time with the Father because Jesus needed to have that strength that comes from being in the presence of God. He felt the presence of God so much in his life that when the Father left him he cried out Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani. Tell me do we feel God so much in our lives that we cry out when we do not feel him?

    The presence of God is something we all need to feel in our lives. God is so important and too often people go to church because that is where they plan to meet God. They go hoping they will feel something but the truth is that we should go not to feel something but to bring something. We should go not to receive from God but to minister to Him. We should go to bless God and to bless others. We should go to fellowship.

  We are entitled a fellowship because we did not want to be just a religious institution. We are a church but we are first and foremost a place where we encourage people to fellowship with God for that is where you find grace in your fellowship with God.

  Today we will continue with looking at the NT meaning of the word holy and how it differs from the OT meaning. We will see how we are holy. This is part of the gifts that we are given. I pray you are blessed by what you read on here and that God will use us to show you something new and to help you grow in the spirit. When we bless you we know that no matter how many come we are doing what God wants.

                    This month we celebrate National Pastors Month. Now maybe you do not do much for your pastors or ministers where you are. Maybe you think about what can we do for them. In the past we took our pastors out to eat but have not done that for a while. I mention this only because I think we should remember those that preach the gospel especially those who preach it in dire poverty. We in America think that all you have to do is to get on TV and the money rolls in. I have met several who think that all American ministers are rich! That is not the case- I certainly am not!

   God has given to us an opportunity to reach others with the gospel and that is something we must pursue. There is nothing more important that we can do then to share the gospel with every person. You do not have to be a minister to do this. You can share the gospel in the grocery store or at school. You can share the gospel in all you do. There is an old song called Ordinary People that was written in the 80's. God uses ordinary people. He does not use super saints. The focus of God is Jesus Christ so we need to focus on Him. We should not focus on Him out of obligation but because of love. Love Jesus!

  Loving Jesus is the primary focus! Loving Jesus helps to bring everything together in your life. Love Jesus when the bills come due and the kids are screaming. Love Jesus all the time even when things look hopeless. Love Jesus- I can assure you that Jesus loves you and thinks highly of you regardless of your educational level.

  What I am trying to say is this- the first one that you must minister to is Jesus. Minister to the Lord above all else. Minister to God and let God minister to you! God is for you so be for Him!  You have not seen me ask for anything for me on this site. This ministry is not about serving me or serving the flesh - it is about ministering first to Jesus and when you catch the vision that God gave to us then you will also become emblazoned with ministering first to Jesus. Everything pales in comparison to Him and what His focus should be in our life!

 So bless those who ministered to you this month for when you do it to the least of these my brethren you have done it to me!

                                         There are so many times that people come into our lives and some may come for a short stay, whereas others may be in our lives for a long time. Those that are there for a long time we think of as family regardless of whether they are friends or whatever. Families stick together through thick and thin. God is so great that He uses our mistakes and successes. HE uses us regardless of whether we act right or not. He uses our actions and misactions.

  In my preaching I try to focus on who we are in Jesus and the grace that God has given to us becasue that is what God gave to me to preach. Jesus is the focus and Jesus is the reason not just for the Christmas season but Jesus is the reason for our existence. Every preacher has a focus in their preaching. Some are well known with ministries focusing on Healing, (Hunters) Faith (Hagin) Prophecy ( Sutton) Grace (Yandian) or many other things. There are many other ministries that I could have chosen for these catagories but you get the point.

 God sent you here. You were sent here to minister and be ministered to. You are sent to minister to us as well as to be ministered to by us. Pray for us as we pray for you. Bless us and share with us how God is using us through you. We are all in one body and soon Jesus is coming back. We all have a role in ministering whether we are licensed or not. Let us bless each other and help each other so that we can together share the gospel of grace with the world!
