So many people are focused on what is going on in Haiti because of the trouble there and are trying to help. I applaud that wholeheartedly but I also believe that we need to realize that this is not an act of God. God too often is blamed for the diseasters that happen in this world; whenever a tornado or hurnicane happen and there are major diseasters like Hurricane Katrina there are so many that come out and say well look why God did this or that. They find fault with these nations and say see this is why God did this.
I received an email saying that there was voodoo there so God is mad at them. If we were to look at all the places that have evil in them then no nation would be safe. There is no perfect nation for there is no one who is perfect,  but the one who was perfect was crucified. Jesus the perfect one, took our place and gave us His earned righteousness.
People read  the OT and see God as a God of vengeance so they believe that God must be a God of anger and not of love. Then they read the NT and look in the book of Revelation and see all the horror that is foretold and think that God is now also taking vengeance against people. I want you to know that the devil comes to steal kill and destroy. The devil knows that his time his short so he kills and  destroys   making people think that it is God who is doing that, so that people will turn against God, even the insurance companies calls these events acts of God. God is for you and not against you! I serve a God of love and grace, so when you see these tragedies do not see God as the one causing the tragedy but as the one who sends the relief and causes people to help. God loves you!
Remember the Bible says that Satan told Jesus all the kingdoms of the world were his and if Jesus would bow down then he would give them to Jesus without Jesus having to go to the cross. The temptation had to be true or it would not be a real termptation. Adam gave his authority to Satan when Adam fell. Satan was called the god of this world and the prince of the power of the air by Paul - this is his realm and these tragedies are his handiwork. ( 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2)
Father bless those affected by this tragedy and help to heal the hurt of what the devil has done, and let the people see your love and grace so that they may know your Son and what He did to redeem them from the curse and from Satan's power. Let them know Jesus defeated the devil and they can be free from the bondage they are in because of what Satan did to them.

1/17/10
It is important that as we begin the new year  that we focus on our relationship with God. We have many relationships that are important to us but the most important one should be our relationship with God. How do we build our relationship with God? We build it by spending time with Him and fellowshipping with Him just as we spend time with the people around us. The more we spend time with people the better our relationship with them will be. The better our time with them is, the better our relationship with them will be. God wants you to spend time with Him and that is not just in prayer or praise, or in reading the Bible.
God wants you to just spend time worshipping Him with your heart, or studying His word. Worship and study comes from the heart. Worship is when you spend time with God from your heart loving Him because of who He is. Too often we spend time focusing on our problems and praying God take care of this or that and say God I know you love me but I still need these things. Our focus when we pray is on our needs sometimes, instead of on our God. We cannot fellowship with God when we focus on something else. Our focus must be on God when we fellowship with Him. I cannot focus on Him and focus on something or someone else. God must be the focus of our life or our fellowship will suffer.
Jesus the Son of God spent  time with the Father many times all night, because He knew the value of fellowship and after doing great miracles would retreat to fellowship. Your fellowship will recharge you so that you can see God can work in your life. Yes you need Provision in your life but it cannot take the place of fellowshipping with God. So if you want a resolution. let it be to fellowship by worshipping the Lord with your heart not just by singing songs or listening to praise music, but fellowship with your Father. Come to church so that you can learn and grow by fellowshipping with your Dad. Maybe the sermon is too long or the music not what you want but be there to fellowship God.God is the reason you are there and it does not matter how long the service is or how short, you are there for one reason to be with your Dad. Love Him and worship Him in all you do. Study so that you may see that God approves of you and loves you and then you will be a workmen not ashamed. let God's love flow through you.

Dear Friends,                                                                                                              1/10/10
The Lord is with you and will keep you. I was reading today that the Lord told Joshua that he should be strong and of good courage in 1:6,7,9 and I think it is important that we know that God wants us to have courage in these times when we go through hard times. We can be strong for God not only speaks to us but lives in us. HE witnessed Moses who talked to God face to face and was the greatest prophet of the OT. He wrote the Torah and whenever the Jewish people refer to the OT they refer to it as Moses and the Prophets. Moses was first in their heart, even though they may be the children of Abraham- Moses was their leader. This was the man that Joshua learned from.
God told Joshua I will not fail or forsake you. I want you to know that God will not forsake you or fail you. God has never failed you or left you. I know that sometimes we may seem to hear from God but that does not mean he failed you or left you. God is still there listening to you and standing beside you. The Footprints in the Sand says He carries you when there is only one set of footprints. God cares about you more then you know.
Look at the 3 instances God says be strong and of good courage to Joshua In v 6 God says 1) it is to bring His people an inheritance 2) v7- says so you may prosper 3) so you wont fear and know God is with you. God does not think it is wrong to give you these things for God wants to give it to you. God wants to bless you, you need to know that in your heart for God desires to show his love to you. God wants to give to you so that you can give to others. Stop seeing that you messed up here or there, or that your prosperity and getting your bills met is based on your ability. God gave you his love and the focus we need to have is on what did Jesus do and not on what we must do.  Focusing on our doing to be blessed instead of our being puts us back under the law.  Stop basing your blessing on your job; instead base it on Calvary.
Oh, you need to have a job in this realm, but the reason you are blessed is Jesus. You always have reason and money to give and strive to give. Try to find a reason to give. BE a giver for giving is more blessed then receiving .  So, what I am saying is simply this:God wants to bless you so you can bless others.
Now go and share this site with those you know. Tell them about us. Tell them that they can hear the grace of God and that there is a place where they will not be condemned. God is for them and loves them and they need to hear that, for God wants to show them his love. If you live in NJ, then come join us at our Sunday Morning Service at 11 AM at the Springfield YMCA and let us bless you. Directions to the Y are available on this site from any location.  Share our website with them - www.wordofgracefellowship.com and also share your faith and love with us. As God leads you, bless us with your prayers and finances. Send in your donations to Box 225 Springfield NJ 07081

     1/3/10
We have started a new year and so often we talk about resolutions and trying to do good and make sure we try to get this or that right in our life. The focus of that is perfect our flesh but even God could not do that. He sent his son, and His son was perfect and they crucified him and HE was the only one with perfect flesh.  You have a new life that began in the Spirit of God and that life is kept by the sacrifice of Jesus. You were born again, you had a new start. It does not matter if you were 80 when you got born again or 5, you still had a new start and a new life was put in you. This life was the life of God.
When you born you had temporal fleshly life, what we call mortal bodies. Now you are reborn with the very life of God in you. Pastor John used to talk about laboring to rest. He would say that there is one thing that we are told to labor and that is to labor to rest. Being able to relax sometimes takes effort. You have a house and kids and a mortgage but that takes effort to pay for those things. God says you can rest in Him for God did the work and HE keeps you by what He did. Too often we want to strive to get things done for we apply the same principles to the spirit that we see in the natural. But God says He did the work. Our work is simply to believe in the one He sent.
As you begin a new year, I want you to do one thing: Rest in the grace of Jesus Christ. Cast your care upon Him. Stop striving. God is up all night so let him worry about it. It amazes me when someone says but I have to worry about this or that. Bury your worry so your faith can soar. This is not just a new year but a new decade. We are in the 21st century; your life began in the 20th century and God kept you this far so God will keep you again and again for you can trust Him. If there is anyone you can trust it is Him.
I want to tell you this: a couple of years ago: I began a year looking at my bank account and said how am I going to make it, thinking I only had enough money for 2 months at the most, and there are 12 in a year, but I made it. Then the next year came and I had the same amount I had the beginning of the previous year. Now I am beginning a new year and I have what I had 2 years ago. So when I see that I gained confidence that God will keep me and it reminded me of the story of the oil not running out. God is keeping me and blessing me though it may not add up in your mind- God is a good keeper and HE will provide your needs. Trust Him!
Now I do pray that you are blessed by this site. We need your help to go forward. I know that God has more for us then just a website. I need your help. Yes I am asking for you to help us financially, so that we can do more with what God gave us to do. Please send your donations to Word of Grace Box225 Springfield NJ 07081 and tell others about us for God has given us more to do. I know he wants me to travel and preach overseas ,and minister to nations.  Time is short- tell others about us and give them our website so they can help us too- give then this link at www.wordofgracefellowship.com . We need to reach out together so that we can share His grace, for Jesus is coming soon!

We are honored that you are visiting our web site.
We are a non- traditional church.
As such  we are always looking for new ways of getting the Gospel of grace out to new people as well as to those who currently are a part of this Fellowship.

This web site allows us to reach people we may never have been able to contact before. Everyone is welcome to attend our services, or outreach programs which include; counseling services, prayer requests, spiritual healing, spiritual warfare, and  bible study,

Please use this site to access the information you need about the church and as a resource for broadening your faith. We look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you might have.

Welcome to Word of Grace Fellowship Ministries!
Here we are dedicated to the ministry of the gospel of grace and to teach that one who is born again has been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We teach the uncompromising word of grace and righteousness. Right now we are more of a fellowship of like-minded believers whose lives have been changed by the message of grace then a church. God has been a source of constant strength and comfort to us, as He continues to separate us from the mindset of traditional Christianity.
As you go through our pages remember that God's focus is what did Jesus do, not what would Jesus do. Jesus came to die so that by His death we could be made right with God. Once we were made right with God then God could come to live in us so we could be made one body with Jesus. God finds no fault in us, for when He sees us He sees Jesus. This is the reality of who we are as a new man in Jesus Christ.
We at Word of Grace believe that God includes women in the ministry and that God has given to every born again child of his the ministry of reconciliation, to go and bring in the lost to the kingdom of God.
We pray that as you read these pages that you will be ministered to and want to know more about us. Please feel free to contact us for we would welcome the opportunity to minister God's grace to you. May you learn about His grace and grow in the knowledge of righteousness, so that you too can walk in the freedom of Jesus Christ!
