Dear Friend,
I want to ask you why do you worship God? do you worship because it is part of the service and
you want to feel good? Do you worship because you like the song and it is playing on the radio? Why do you worship?
Worship needs to come from your innermost being and it should be a part of who you are and who God is to you! Worship
is not just something to do because you are bored, but worship is to minister to the Lord. There is so much about worship
in the Bible, and the Old English word tells us that it comes from the word worth-ship which eventually became
our word worship. We are telling God that HE is worthy of our praise and that He made us worthy so we will praise Him. God
praises us when at the end of time God will tell us thank you! We praise God because of all the things HE does
for us. God blesses us because of Jesus and not because of our deeds,
but that does not mean that because we know that He will bless us that we should not praise Him. In the OT it says that
HE inhabits those who praise Him Ps 22:3 He indwells us now simply because Jesus took our place. He wants to be with
those who praise Him. He responded to those who praise Him when he sent an earthquake to free those in the Phillipian
jail. Worship because you love Him. Worship because He loves you. Worship because of what it does for you and God.
Worship because He is worthy and made you worthy. Worship because you want to but do not worship because you are required
to worship! Pastor Don Carson

Dear Friends,
we have so much in our lives and we are so wrapped up in what we do that we are not able to lose ourselves in the Lord.
In the book of Acts, they focused on the Lord and did not worry about what would happen to them. They had lives and
jobs and had to do many things but the Lord became so important that nothing else mattered. We focus on our TV and computer
and other things, but what needs to become the most important thing in our life is to worship the Lord. Perhaps you
do worship the Lord and strive to do what you need to do to pay your bills and take care of your responsibilties.
Worship is love. It is loving God above all else. It is putting all else to
the wind and letting God be God in your life. We worry about too much and forget that God is all we need. Oh we do have
responsibilties and we do have to take care of our child for they are given to us. The children should obey the parents
and we need to do things to look after them and care for them. Find some thing to thank God for when you wake
up. Find a reason to love God in your situation. Find a reason to love people when you don't want to. Make the worship of
God so important for when you do then you will see the many benefits of worship. I mentioned that David worshiped naked
before the Lord and the people. Isaiah walked naked for 3 years. Could you go to church naked one Sunday before friends becuase
God said to. Worship is more then just singing songs it is an attitude
of love that you express to God and it can be through song but it is also through our love in showing it to others.
Love God and go forth in power to love for God himself is love and when you are hurt by others and truly forgive then
you will not remember the hurt for when you do you are not truly loving them. Love remembers that God is all you need and when
you let God be your source of love then truly He will be all your need and then you will be living and moving in an
attitude of worship and even if you were asked to walk naked for 3 years it would not bother you. Your love for God
would outweigh the shame of being naked before others. Love conquers shame and forgives for love outweighs a multitude of
sins, and will help us not see the faults of our friends and those God has put in our lives. God sees no faults in others so
let us love one another as Christ commanded us so we can truly worship God in spirit and truth!

Dear Visitors,
Tell me what do you think about God and what is your response to Him? God wants you to know him but so many do not.
God loves you so much that HE sent his Son to take your place so that you can know Him. There is something that people
believe today because they focus on what they see instead of letting God reveal themselves to them. Love your neighbor -
but the problem with doing that is that our love is based on on our doings instead of basing it on what God did for
us. It is important to know what God did for us. The only way some people know about God is to look at those
who profess to know him, and they do not know how to perform his works, but instead they gripe and complain about the
things they want from God but do not have. God loves you and wants to have you respond to Him
based on knowing Jesus Christ. God wants you to represent Jesus but instead we are caught up in going to God only when
we need something. We really do not know God like He wants us to. He wants us to know Him in the power of His might
and to love Him. This is the response God wants us to have. Do you know Him like that? I read
about so many who do not know God the healer or God the deliverer and when they pray they ask God to do that for them. They
do not know that God gave them his authority and expect them to speak to the problem. God wants us to respond to the
Gospel He gave and the provision that was made for us in Jesus Christ so we can tell others who we are in Him.
When we do this is part of our worship and demonstrates to God our love for him. We are spending time now looking at
our response to Him so we can properly represent Him. So many do not try to
represent him or do not think they do so, maybe a minister does but not an everyday Christian. Ghandi said that he would
have become a Christian if he did not meet one. The Christians you meet in your daily life do more damage to people
then the ones they see on radio or TV or behind the pulpit. Oh people in major ministries can do damage, but people
are many times influenced more by those they know then by those that don't. The people who attend a church do
more to give people an impression about that church then the ones who hear that pastor. So represent God by sharing
your love and ministering Him in the power of the revealed word of God to you. Go and minister by telling them what God
said to you, love them and do for them regardless of what you see in your flesh for in so doing when you do the least
of these my brethren you do unto me! Pastor Don Carson Word of Grace Fellowship
